Day 8 - Zion Part 2

Sunday, June 17th (continued)

So, once past the tour bus crowd, it was a nice ride through the park. There is only one road that runs the entire length of the park that you can drive on. So it gets pretty busy. At the big tunnel, they only let one direction through at a time. It is pretty narrow and dark, so I guess that makes sense, though it makes for some long lines to get through there.

I only actually stopped to take pictures a couple of times, since the park was crowded and most of the pull-offs were full. So pretty much all of these were taken from the bike.

You sure do feel small riding amongst these huge walls of rock

I was behind this blue truck for a LONG time.

Little ants on the landscape :-)

Tunnel jam :)

So that's the end of Zion, next up is Bryce Canyon and my trip from there through Utah on Hwy 12 and 24, which is just as spectacular as the parks! I'm at Sue and JJ's house in Henderson, Colorado now, and will try to get more pictures sorted and edited, but I'll more than likely be finishing up the blog from home. But be sure to check back, because those photos are gonna knock your socks off! I went through 3 batteries and an SD card in about 150 miles... that's just how spectacular the views are.

Back soon!
